Diagnostic Issue & Solution

Problem                                                                             Solution 

Able to power on but no display,

power button led indication is on

with beeping sound (3 beeps)

1.Take out RAM and wipe the contact point on the ram with cotton bud and zippo fluid, isopropyl alcohol, alcohol spirits and wipe excess fluid with a dry cloth.

2.Clean the RAM slot with pressured air or brush the slots with normal tooth brush, remove all the dust that can clog up the slots.

3. if all attempts fail to resolve you might have a faulty RAM or RAM slot, please give us a call for more info @ 68037964 / 88233093

Unable to Power On

(No Display at all)

1. Check power socket and confirm power cable is connected to the unit.

2. Check if the unit have any sound produce from processor fans and hard disk.

3. If all attempts fails then you might have a faulty internal power supply/Power management IC chip.

Please approach us to do a further free diagnostic and we will advice you the cost to replace the faulty components.

 

Able to power on but stuck at white screen/distorted/pixelated screen

1. Restart your com by forcing shutdown, pressing and holding till unit shutdown, then power on again.

2. After pressing the power on button to turn on the unit, press & hold the Command + Option + R + keys at the same time, this will initiate PRAM Reset function on the unit.

3. If all attempts fail then your unit might have a faulty Graphic IC chip or LCD, to determine which of these issue you are facing, simply connect your unit to an external monitor through either DVI(Old Macbook Pro Alu) cable or mini display port.

Then turn on your unit, if your are able to see your desktop on the external monitor without any distortion or pixelization then you have a faulty LCD.

If your external monitor displays the same distorted and pixelated image as your unit, then your Graphic IC is faulty.

No sound, distorted sound, crackling speakers

1. No sound coming out? Check your Macbook Keyboard and click on mute. If that does't help, we will need to go to System Preference and Sound. Try to change the setting and set the slider to center if there sound coming from only 1 side. 

2. To check if speaker is faulty or onboard sound IC chip is faulty, connect and external speaker to test is external speaker able to play sound normally.

3. if external speakers do not produce any sound, there is high possibility that your sound IC on board is faulty.

No Airport card installed\

No Wi-Fi detected

Wi-Fi grey out

Check to see if your wifi is turn on.

1. Click on the Apple Logo on the left hand corner side of your MAC

 

2. Click on System Preference follow by Network.

3. Check on the left panel for Wifi. If its not on the list, try adding it by pressing +(plus/add button) and add the wifi in. Don't forget to restart your mac and see if it helps.

If you have try the above step and still doesn't solve your issue, then you have a hardware issue. 
Its better if you can approach us for a free diagnostic, because we need to disassemble the unit to test the Wi-Fi/Airport card

 

Battery not charging,

0%, battery not charging up.

MACBOOK ONLY

All battery have a lifespan, a charging cycle count, once it hits a certain amount of charging cycle, you will have to change it or risk damaging your laptop and  bloating the battery cells.

You can check your battery health condition in Mac OS,

1. Click on the Apple Logo on the left hand corner side of your MAC

2. Click about this MAC, then click More Info, then System Report

3. On the left hand side you will see under hardware-click on Power

4.Then it will display all your charging and battery health condition/charging cycle/charge remain/ full charge capacity.

If you are unable to detect your battery,power get cut off when you unplug the Magsafe adaptor or if its not charging, then you will to approach us for a free diagnostic on your Macbook. 

 

Windows Laptop & Desktop ONLY!

Unable to power on, no display, no led indication

Possible faulty, short circuit power supply unit (desktop, Power IC Management Chip (laptops).

1. Check power socket and confirm power cable is connected to the unit.

2. Check if the unit have any sound produce from Processor fans and Hard Disk.

3. If all attempts fails then you might have a faulty internal power supply/Power Management IC Chip.

Able to Power on but no Display,

 Able to Power on but goes to Blue Screen with error message(May Autorestart at time).

1. Do a Recovery through the System Recovery. 

2. if issue is not resolved, please bring your Laptop or Desktop to our service branch for a Free Diagnostic, and we will advice you what is the issue and cost to repair your unit.

No sound, distorted sound, crackling speakers

1. To check if Speaker is faulty or onboard Sound IC Chip is faulty or driver not installed, connect and external speaker to test is external speaker able to play sound normally.

2. If external speakers do not produce any sound, there is high possibility that your Sound IC on board is faulty.

3. Check on your PC or laptop if the driver is installed and updated.

No Wi-Fi detected

 Possible Wi-Fi card card faulty or Driver not installed.

Its better if you can approach us for a Free Diagnostic, because we need to disassemble the unit to test the Wi-Fi Card.

Able to power on but no image only backlight/distorted/pixelated screen/ink like crack lines

1. Restart your Laptop or Desktop by forcing shutdown, pressing and holding till unit shutdown, then power on again.

2. If attempts fail then your unit might have a faulty Graphic IC Chip / Graphic Card or LCD, to determine which of these issue you are facing, simply connect your unit to an external monitor through either VGA cable or HDMI port.

3. Then turn on your unit, if your are able to see your desktop on the external monitor without any distortion or pixelated then you have a faulty LCD.

4. If your external monitor displays the same Distorted and pixelated image as your unit, then your Graphic IC is Faulty.
